DeSoto Arts and
Humanities Council will be hosting the third annual Rio de la Paz Festival on
Saturday, February 7, 2015. The festival is held at the DeSoto Campus of South
Florida State College in Arcadia, Florida. The Art of the River art show will
be on display inside the college, as well as artist vendors. SFSC will be
celebrating their 50th anniversary, and will be working with us to make the
outdoor festival even more attractive to the public. The Family Fun Day will
have activities for all ages.
We
are again offering authors indoor space in classrooms. Each space will include a
minimum of two student desks and two chairs. The cost is $20 for DAHC members,
or $25 for non-members. SFSC DeSoto Campus is located at 2251 NE Turner Ave,
Arcadia FL. Set up is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. day before show or 7-9 a.m. on Saturday.
All vehicles must be moved to vendor parking area by 9 a.m. No break-down before
4 p.m. Vendors are welcome to man their booths during the art reception to be
held Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. Payment for inside space is to be made to
DAHC.
Outdoor
space is also available through the SFSC Foundation--spaces are a generous 12 by
12 ft., and the cost is the same. Vendors must supply all set-upstent, table,
chairs. Payment for outdoor space is to be made to SFSC
Foundation.
